UTL S-20 Solar powered HOME UPS, is powered by micro controller digital technology. As in a normal PCU, when Solar power is available, the mains will not be used. But when Solar power goes off due to any reason the battery will keep on discharging due to load, and thus the battery will go low after some time. UTL Solar Inverter keeps on sensing the battery level, and when ever it goes low the mains will start charging battery and will be there on the output load as well. And when mains has fully charged the battery, it will shift back to battery mode so that Solar Power could be tried again.

Solar preference over Mains utility

Built in stabilizer

A built in stabilizer in the UTL's HOODI...BACK-UP back-up lets it work both as an ups and an inverter, eliminating the need of buying a separate stabilizer for regulation of the AC input. Even if the AC mains drop down to only a hundred volts the charging current remains full.

Auto overload resetting

The HOODI...BACK-UP has the ability to sense the level of load attached to it. When subjected to excessive load the ups enters a stand-by mode in which it keeps on beeping and sensing the load and then turns itself back on when it finds the load to be in its specified level of operation, dismissing the need of manual resetting. If the load is not reduced, the ups then after 8 attempts to turn it self back on undergoes shutdown.

Maintains battery health

The HOODI...BACK-UP provides the battery installed to it with a constant boost charging current until its voltage reaches 14.2V and the float current them maintains this voltage above 13V. Thus reducing the float current to zero, ultimately resulting in much enhanced battery life keeping it fully charged simultaneously.

Any battery option

The HOODI...BACK-UP from the house of UTL has the intelligent feature to recognize the type of battery connected to it. May it be an ordinary battery or a branded one, a tubular battery or a sealed one. No matter what the type it auto adjusts the battery's charging characteristics accordingly. Even those batteries which cease to go over 13.5V after a while of use work flawlessly with UTL's combo ups. While the ups's from other brands overcharge such batteries UTL's combo ups on the other hand declares them fully charged at 13.5 volts, thus preventing them from being overcharged. With an option for battery equalization the combo ups from UTL is a complete package. So go ahead and install any battery you like.

UTL Hoodi...Back-up can safely and ideally operate all appliances like Fans, Bulbs, Tube Lights, Stereos, Televisions, VCRs, Photo-Coppiers, EPABX, Intercoms, Electronic Type-writters, Water Coolers, Bio-medical Instruments and any gadget which requires 220 Volt 50 Hz AC Sine Wave supply. Special needs can be met on demand.
